Registered Agriculture Apprenticeships to Oregon!

Farm Manager

A farm manager oversees all aspects of a farm operation, including staff supervision, budgeting, crop production, animal health, equipment maintenance, regulatory compliance, and profitability through optimized production and market strategies.

 

BAF's Farm Manager & Organic Farm Manager will be a state-certified and federally recognized apprenticeship.

 

Graduates will earn journeyman status, prepared to lead in an evolving agricultural industry.

Mentorship

Apprentices will complete 2,000 hours of paid on-the-job training over the course of 18 months with Farm Mentors on commercial farms and ranches ranging from 2 to 4,000 acres.

Related Training

Apprentices will complete 144 hours of related technical instruction on topics best learned off farm or that require more advanced training. 

  • Farm business planning & financial management

  • Tractor safety & maintenance

  • Small engine repair

  • Integrated pest management
